Charmgang

Talad Noi

Modern Thai curry specialist founded by three Nahm alumni featuring an open kitchen where chefs pound fresh curry pastes daily. Monthly rotating menu combines traditional techniques with creative interpretations using rare ingredients.

Concept

Opened in 2019 by three former Nahm chefs, Charmgang represents a contemporary interpretation of traditional Thai curry-making. The restaurant's open kitchen, where chefs work over brass pots, places the preparation of fresh curry pastes at the center of the dining experience.

Space

Designed by Sarah Yen Panya, the interior combines industrial elements like steel dining tables with traditional materials such as red reed wall coverings. Metal chairs feature unique woven floral cushions, while contemporary art pieces contrast with the vintage-inspired setting.

Culinary Approach

  • Monthly rotating menu focused on curry variations
  • Integration of rare ingredients like mangosteen leaves
  • Notable dishes include:
    • Curry of smoked kingfish with pennywort
