Pawnshop-fronted cocktail bar with progressive mixology, combining a deceptive retro exterior with an opulent dark interior featuring copper tube frames and political satire artworks. Opened December 2022 by the team behind Teens of Thailand.
Concept & Design
Located behind a retro pawnshop facade, this bar employs architectural misdirection as a core design element. The exterior's deliberate mundanity contrasts with an opulent interior characterized by copper tube frames, hand-painted signage, and politically satirical artwork. Sculptural elements and amber lighting define distinct atmospheric zones.
Mixology
The bar's progressive cocktail program emphasizes both local and imported ingredients:
- ISSA PLANT: Features vetiver as key component
- CACTI: Combines tequila with prickly pear and melon
- KAPEACH: Blends vodka, sake, Korean peach, and green chili
- CHRYSANITY: Mexican Marigold-infused rum with chrysanthemum syrup
