Architecture and Design

MACBA occupies a 14,000 m² modernist building designed by Richard Meier, inaugurated in 1995. Its structure of glass, white aluminum, and metal contrasts with the surrounding Gothic architecture, notably the adjacent Convent dels Àngels.
