Located opposite the Aguedal gardens, on the Ourika road, the charming hotel and gourmet restaurant ‘Al Fassia Aguedal’ offers accommodation in riads and sophisticated Moroccan cuisine. Then there's a favorite, ‘Bled Al Fassia,’ a unique site with a breathtaking view of the Atlas Mountains, a complex of guest houses available exclusively for private hire. Meeting the needs of an increasingly demanding clientele is the challenge undertaken by a mother and her three daughters.
Thus, the adventure began in 1985. A woman, steeped in the culture of Fez, opened her restaurant to showcase traditional Moroccan cuisine in Marrakech. Supported by an all-female team, a first in Morocco, the establishment quickly became a must-visit address in the city. Ten years later, her daughter Saïda, who graduated in France in hotel and restaurant management, joined her. Ever since, she has relentlessly continued the family traditions, firmly leading the restaurant's female brigade and preserving the place’s reputation, built over twenty-five years. Politicians, showbiz personalities, and loyal customers come to savor the famous ‘golden lamb shoulder’ featured on the menu.
Trained in the United States, Myra CHAB, the youngest, excels in welcoming both international and local guests at ‘Al Fassia Aguedal,’ this luxurious 5-star establishment, facing the Atlas Mountains. It feels somewhat like her own home as she resides on site. There, one can naturally enjoy what the brand prides itself on, a delightful gourmet Moroccan cuisine. Built like a riad, this charming hotel takes pride in its authenticity, thanks to its noble materials and lush patios.
To complement the accommodation offerings, ‘Bled Al Fassia’ emerged as a logical extension. With a clear view of the Atlas Mountains to the south and the Jbilets to the north, nestled in an eleven-hectare park, this guest house complex is managed by Mariam.
In this story, it is also important to highlight the crucial role and support of Mohammed CHAB, one of the pioneers of the hotel industry in Morocco. With over 40 years of experience in Moroccan hospitality, having managed the country’s grandest palaces, Mr. Chab, the father, has managed to instill in his daughters a love and respect for the pure Moroccan tradition.
