Exclusive Mahi Binebine exhibition extended until May 20 at Mandarin Oriental

Mahi Binebine's exhibition "Silent Elevations" has been extended until May 20 at the Mandarin Oriental. This event is a must-see for lovers of contemporary Moroccan art and those who want to explore a unique blend of sculpture and painting.

Mahi Binebine: A multi-talented artist

If you haven't discovered Mahi Binebine yet, he is something of a rock star in the world of contemporary Moroccan art. Born in Marrakech in 1959, Binebine is a painter, sculptor, and writer. His novel Les Étoiles de Sidi Moumen was adapted for the screen by Nabil Ayouch under the title Horses of God. His artistic work, which has been exhibited in prestigious venues such as the Guggenheim Museum in New York, explores profound themes such as memory, identity, and spirituality.
For this exhibition, the artist presents large-scale sculptures alongside a series of tar-on-silk paper paintings. His works play with contrasts, blending raw materials with delicate forms.

A thoughtful presentation

The exhibition was organized in collaboration with Galerie 208, which opted for a simple layout to allow viewers to fully appreciate each piece.
