The Festival's General Coordinator Ali Hajji, reported that the edition drew in more than 150,000 spectators. They attended various screenings across the city: at the Congress Palace, Jemaa El Fna square, the Colisée Cinema, and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum—seeing a significant increase from previous years!
To remind, this year's jury was chaired by Italian director Paolo Sorrentino and included 8 members: Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier, Guatemalan-American actor and producer Oscar Isaac, British actress Vanessa Kirby, German actress Diane Kruger, Australian director Justin Kurzel, Lebanese director and actress Nadine Labaki, Moroccan director Laïla Marrakchi, and French actor Tahar Rahim.
The jury awarded the Grand Prix "Golden Star" to "Chevalier Noir" by Iranian director Emad Aleebrahim Dehkordi. The Jury Prize was given jointly to "Alma Viva" by Cristèle Alves Meira and "Le Bleu du Caftan" by Maryam Touzani. The Best Director Award was won by Swiss director Carmen Jacquier for her film "Lightning".
The Best Actress Award went to Choi Seung Yoon for her role in "Riceboy Sleeps" by Anthony Shim. As for the Best Actor Award, it was presented to Arswendy Bening Swara for his performance in "Autobiography" by Makbul Mubarak.
