Launched in partnership notably with the National School of Architecture in Rabat and the Higher National School of Architecture and Landscape of Bordeaux, this seminar will feature a host of professors, researchers, specialists, and research students from the fields of heritage, architecture, urban planning, and tourism.
The participants will have the opportunity to focus on the current situation of the green belt, in the context of the city's urban expansion, as well as from agricultural and landscape perspectives. They will engage in serious contemplation on the prospects for the permanent preservation of this space.
This meeting aims to sound the alarm on the fact that "the existence of this green belt is currently threatened by several factors, particularly the urban expansion of the city" with all the major challenges this entails for the ochre city (depletion of water resources and increased rural exodus), explain the organizers (MAP).
